Biography
"Making art is the practice of learning again how to live for the less immediate. It is the epitome of the inconvenient and is a highly underestimated and misunderstood pursuit; painstaking, exhausting, essential..."
"The very act of art making involves cultivation, intention and patience; preparing a surface or work space, allowing time for materials to dry or process, intense focus and concentration, research, revision, repetition, intent and the learning and mastering of techniques."
"I have been pursuing art in this capacity for as long as I can remember. I am deeply concerned with finding ways to create an active climate for artists to live as artists and for 'non-artists' to understand the need for art in their lives."
